On November 15th, 2011, The Opera Society was honored by Classical South Florida’s Sanford L. Ziff Family Foundation for Outstanding Contributions to the Arts. The award ceremony was held at the historic Biltmore Hotel of Miami where a beautiful golden plaque was presented to immediate past President, Gloria Kline, and current President, Kim Naimoli.

Guests were entertained by the very talented Michael James Battle, a 24-year old who has lived his life behind a piano! Michael won the hearts of everyone present when he played the song he wrote for his late mother, who died after a long battle with cancer.
