Born and raised in South Korea, Eun-boram Ahn studied solo piano performance, composition and collaborative piano at McGill University. During her Artist Diploma in collaborative piano she studied with renowned Canadian collaborative pianist Michael McMahon, and was actively involved with Opera McGill, participating in productions of The Rake’s Progress and Dido and Aeneas as a rehearsal pianist for conductor Julian Wachner and directors Patrick Hansen, David Lefkovitch and Daniel Taylor. As an apprentice coach and pianist for Janiec Opera Company at Brevard Music Center in North Carolina she played La Traviata, Alcina and L’Elisir d’amore with conductors Andrew Bisantz and Patrick Hansen and directors Dean Anthony and David Gately. She has participated in the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute, Suor Angelica at Opera Nuova, and Rigoletto at the International Lyric Academy of Rome and Viterbo. Recent engagements include accompanist for voice studio and recitals at McGill University, vocal coach and rehearsal pianist for Opera VMana’s world premiere of Le Quatrième Enfant Lune, and vocal coach and rehearsal pianist for Das Lied von der Erde with the Gustav Klimt Ensemble. With assistance from a Williamson Foundation for Music grant, Ms. Ahn participated in 2012 summer programs Center for Opera Studies in Italy and Accademia Europa Dell’opera serving as rehearsal pianist and coach for Nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, and Gianni Schicchi.
