RetRaehannurning Young Artist and mezzo-soprano Raehann Bryce-Davis’snumerous opera credits include her Florida Grand Opera debut as Albine (Thaïs) in 2014, Mama McCourt (Moore’s The Ballad of Baby Doe) with Chautauqua Opera in 2014, Zita (Gianni Schicchi) with Aspen Opera Theater Center in 2013, and the Owl (Chin’s Alice in Wonderland; American premiere) with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis in 2012. With the Manhattan School of Music Opera Theater, her credits include Begbick (Weill’s Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny) in 2013, Albine (Thaïs) in 2012, and Candelas (de Falla’s El Amor Brujo) and Carmela (de Falla’s La Vida Breve) in 2011. Raehann’s concert credits as a soloist include Corigliano’s Of Rage and Remembrancewith the Aspen Contemporary Music Ensemble in 2013, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 in a world premiere organ transcription at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in 2013, and Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky with the Manhattan School of Music Symphony in 2012. She is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the University of Texas at Arlington.
